VicinityJobs.com, in cooperation with the Toronto Centre for Education and Training, will host a free seminar for job seekers in the Mississauga Employment Resource Centre on June 25th starting at 2 pm, titled “Marketing Yourself Online”. (note that the original date announced was June 23rd, but the event has now been re-scheduled for June 25th) Job seekers will get an overview of the major providers of online job search tools in the GTA, their strengths and weaknesses, and understand the differences between job boards, vertical search engines, agency web sites, contract work outsourcing web sites, etc.
The seminar’s objective is to help participants to improve the efficiency of their job search efforts, gain access to information about more job openings, and find new ways of showcasing their expertise and utilizing networking media sites. It will be lead by the co-founder of VicinityJobs.com Strac Ivanov, and is provided for free, courtesy of VicinityJobs.com and the Toronto Centre for Education and Training. Strac Ivanov is a seasoned veteran of the online services an IT-Solutions industry, having been involved with many well known names in the industry since the mid-90’s. Strac holds a Master’s Degree in business administration.
