Free Job Seeker Seminar Event in Mississauga: Marketing Yourself Online

VicinityJobs.com, in cooperation with the Toronto Centre for Education and Training, will host a free seminar for job seekers in the Mississauga Employment Resource Centre on June 25th starting at 2 pm, titled “Marketing Yourself Online”. (note that the original date announced was June 23rd, but the event has now been re-scheduled for June 25th) Job seekers will get an overview of the major providers of online job search tools in the GTA, their strengths and weaknesses, and understand the differences between job boards, vertical search engines, agency web sites, contract work outsourcing web sites, etc.

Unemployed and underemployed women are invited to attend the OPTIONS Conference, a two-day symposium geared to women who are interested in exploring their employment options. The OPTIONS Conference takes place on Wednesday, June 24 and Friday, June 26 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Hamilton Convention Centre. Occupation in Healthcare Expo in Markham on May 7, 2009

The York South Simcoe Training and Adjustment Board is hosting an event funded by Employment Ontario, titled “Occupations in HealthCare expo”. This is a great opportunity for those considering a career in healthcare to learn about the options available to them, including educational requirements and income potentials associated with different jobs. Attendees will have the opportunity to talk face-to-face with healthcare professional, attend information seminars, ask questions, and receive a complimentary “Caring Careers” CD.

The event   will take place from 12 pm to 8 pm on Thursday, May 7, 2009, at the Markham Civic Centre.   The address is 101 Town Centre Blvd, Markham, ON L3R 9W3.
